On December 16, Office of the Steering Committee for Energy Efficiency – Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with Vietnam Association of Science and Technology for Economical and Efficient Use of Energy (VECEA) held “Award ceremony of energy efficiency in industry and construction in 2022” (*).

At this event, Cornerstone Building won Third Prize in the renovation category (highest place for office building).

In addition to measures such as replacing fluorescent lighting with energy-saving LEDs, reducing the usage time of lighting system in basements; equipping with 2-layer insulated glass, curtains, louvre to reduce solar radiation entering the building, we newly installed solar energy systems and received comprehensive evaluation for it.

As previously announced, the building’s electricity is practically completely CO2-free through the use of I-REC, the Green Power Certificate. Together with further improvements in energy-saving performance, we will continue to aim to be the most environmentally friendly office building.

(*) With the participation of nearly 100 corporates and buildings, Energy Efficiency Award in Industry – Construction in 2022 is an activity under “National program on economical and efficient use of energy for the period of 2019 – 2030”. This event is expected to contribute to realizing the goal of saving 8 – 10% of total national energy consumption in the above period.
